Renovation and merger of two apartments in Genoa (Italy)

The client, a family of four, owner of two small neighboring housing units, wanted to create a single apartment to use as their own home. It was therefore a question of responding to a rich functional program in a small space, obtaining at least two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a dressing room and a pantry; furthermore an integral part of the requests was a complete and complex technological equipment: floor heating system, cooling, remote control from the app and high fidelity wi-fi system, integrated in the structures of the various rooms of the house.

Via T. Reggio (Genoa - Italy)
              Flat renovation

This is a large flat (over 200 square metres) which overlooks the
square Cathedral. The building from the medieval period, preserves
all the peculiarities of that time: big walls, high ceilings that
very often are stratified like in this case.
The project is conceived as a contemporary
architecture, from the materials (steel, glass, polycarbonate,
cement and so on) to the shapes.

            Renovation (Milan - Italy)

Renovation was carried out in 2011. The original plan provided restyling of a duplex apartment with a mansard, located in downtown Milano. Here, we are proposing a little addition, an owner's office which will be housed in a portion of the large terrace.

Viale Luigi Majno (Milan - Italy)
              Flat renovation

The interior of the flat has been completely changed into a wide and
bright living room. The glass doors, make a separation of the space
              without hiding the other rooms.
Some baroque insertions mitigate the minimal style such as the bath
in gold and yellow. The lightings, heating and Hi-Fi stereo have
              been studied according to domotics.

             Finale Ligure (Savona - Italy)
              Flat renovation

In 2005 after the restoration of a part of a block of houses in the
old centre of Finale Ligure, a small flat,on different levels, was
renovated. The plan is centred on the kitchen and the redraw of the
staircase that leads to the second floor. The house still kept the
old beautiful vaults even though it was poor architecture, so we
brought out the structure with a white paint. The other spaces were
              re-organized following the customers' requirements.

               Renovation of a hairdresser salon

Reorganization of the rooms into a single space. The work is centred
on the contrasts of bright and opaque, the use of colours and the
different materials. A long texturized passage ends in a bright
                space.

             Serravalle Scrivia (Alessandria - Italy)
              Plan for a one-family home

Serravalle Scrivia spreads mostly along the hills. Inside a country
house's park, we have planned a new building.
The house stands on a typical ligurian fascia so the plan exploits
this difference in height with a series of walls made with big local
stones ashlars, placed along the slope. The garden has been enlarged
and new hypogean spaces (garage, cellar...) have been created. The
building is built around a 2,2x4 mt. glass courtyard with a cherry
tree in the middle of it. An opening in the west wall allows a fine
              view over the valley.

Rebuilding of the office premises of Fondocasa

It's a small office in the old town centre of Genoa that we have
totally restored. Here you can see a particular of the plan: the
handrail of an inside staircase where the two geometrical basic
              figures (circle and rectangle) intersect.
